PocketScan Is The World’s Smallest Wireless Scanner

As the devices continue to shrink in size, a Swiss software company Dacuda claims to have developed the world’s smallest wireless scanner. Scanners were always thought to be big gadgets placed in one corner of the office. But Dacuda’s SLAM Scan can fit right into your pocket and hence, you can take your office wherever you want.

Like other portable scanners, you have to scroll the device over the document like a paint brush. Meanwhile, a stream of video is captured and the result is instantly displayed on the paired device. The data is transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth. Dacuda says the ‘device can capture documents at up to 400 dpi, with in-built illumination enabling scanning even in low-light conditions. It can capture any size document up to A3.’

The SLAM Scan software compensates for the human error in hand movement and aligns the overlapping images.

The scanned content is editable! This means you can scan the recipe and add a few secret ingredients before the upload.

SLAM Scan also has a text recognition framework and can translate upto 198 languages!

You can cite tables and charts directly from books.

The scanner makes it possible to scan without the limitations of size.

PocketScan works under both bright and dim light. The content can be shared online via a single click.

The device is compatible with PC, Mac and various iOS and android devices. It can do 400 scans before the need to recharge. Dacuda is currently raising funds on Kickstarter, and its goal is to collect $500,000 to make a text-to-speech enabled mode.

Russia has revealed a new gigantic new nuclear submarine and it has been named as K-560 Severodvinsk. The interesting thing about the name is that it is named after the the Russian city Severodvinsk. The submarine had to undergo several trials in the sea for almost 3 years before its launch.

Admiral Chirkov has stated that the submarine would be shifted to the Northern Fleet by the end of this year.  “We will build as many as we need to defend the motherland,” he said at the occasion of launching ceremony  on Tuesday. 

The submarine comes with the length of 393 feet and possesses the top speed of 35 knots. The submarine falls in the class of Yasen-nuclear vessels. It is equipped with advanced Sonar system. The submarine has the capability of diving up to 600 feet depth. It comes with a new generation nuclear reactor. 

The list of armory of this submarine makes it one of its kind. It includes  torpedoes, two different types of cruise missile, a surface-to-air missile and drones. These  drones have been termed as ” Military Robots”, which can be controlled by 90 crew members . 32 out of these 90 crew members will be officers, which makes us think that the armory present on the submarine is technologically pretty advanced.  The submarine will also have the facility of carrying mines. 

Russia is trying to compete with America when it comes to naval might and It is being said that Russia intends to build five more of these submarines. America leads the race with 21-Virginia class submarines already in the armory. Russian submarines are technologically advanced too but less in number. We hope that this doesn’t start another arms race between the two super powers.

There are all sorts of cars out there; cheap cars, economic cars, expensive cars and outrageously expensive cars. You can categorize Lamborghini without our help in these categories, can’t you? Owning one of the Lamborghini cars is quite a status symbol if you know what we mean. However, apparently, just owning a Lamborghini was not enough for the Japanese Yakuza and they decided to modify them and have done such a spectacular job that your jaw will drop!

Oh wait, was that The Japanese Yakuza we mentioned? Yes, it is the same Yakuza that is also known as an organized crime unit in Japan and are symbolized by gatherings of show-off kind, expensive and roaring motorcycles and other vehicles. However, a simple look into the streets of Japan now suggests that Lamborghini is the new standard that has been set.

Although Yakuza is secretive about its more ‘intimate’ operations, they are quite open when it comes to showing off their customized Lamborghinis. We used to think that Lamborghini is the perfect car and there is really not much that you can achieve by customizing it, dear could we ever be more wrong? These cars are wrapped in vinyl, LEDs and lights that are flashy. These wrappings literally cover the entire car and the result is just mesmerizing.This peculiar Lamborghini you’re looking at is owned by Morohoshi San who is a member of the Yakuza and had his Lamborghini covered in a holographic vinyl film.
